GSA Green Products Compilation

This website provides a compilation of the products for which EPA, DOE, and USDA have provided environmental or energy attribute recommendations. Mobile green product apps are also available for download.

EPA Greener Products

The EPA Greener Products portal is designed to help the user navigate the increasingly important and complex world of greener products. It allows users to search for EPA programs related to greener products based on the type of user and their specific product interests. It also links to additional greener products information from EPA and other sources

EPA Comprehensive Procurement Guide (CPG)

The CPG program is authorized by Congress under Section 6002 of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Executive Order 13423. EPA is required to designate products that are or can be made with recovered materials, and to recommend practices for buying these products. Once a product is designated, procuring agencies are required to purchase it with the highest recovered material content level practicable.

CPG Supplier Searchable Database

This searchable database will help you find a supplier for the EPA designated product you are interested. You do not need to specify all of the criteria, just those that make sense to you.

ENERGYSTAR

The ENERGYSTAR web site includes information about energy efficient products, building and homes. The information available here can be used both at PPPL and in your home.

FEMP Designated Energy Efficient Products

Federal agencies are required to procure energy-efficient products. DOE's Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) FEMP produces energy efficiency requirements and resources to help Federal buyers comply with Federal requirements while saving energy and costs. FEMP also provides training seminars, energy and cost models, and model contract language for the purchase of energy efficient products.

EPEAT - Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool

Federal agencies are required to purchase EPEAT-registered electronic equipment whenever possible.  EPEAT is the definitive global registry for greener electronics. It's an easy-to-use resource for purchasers, manufacturers, resellers and others wanting to find or promote environmentally preferable products.

Non Ozone-Depleting Alternative Products

At the EPA web site you'll find information about the science of ozone depletion, EPA's regulatory approach to protecting the ozone layer, alternatives to ozone-depleting substances, and sun safety.

USDA BioPreferred Program

The US Department of Agriculture's 'BioPreferred' program promotes the increased purchase and use of biobased products in order to promote economic development, creating new jobs and providing new markets for farm commodities.
